UX / UI Design

Your website isn’t just a digital brochure, it’s a product, an experience, a journey. At Overt design, we understand this, and our UI/UX design process for the web puts your users first and creates websites that look stunning and feel effortless to use.

If we’re not capturing your brand’s essence with stunning design from the first glance, we risk losing your audience before they even begin to explore. That’s why every pixel we craft is intentional—designed to ignite interest, spark emotion, and keep that connection alive throughout the entire user journey. When this is combined with functional and experience design, then we have a very strong formula for success.

User Experience (UX) Strategy

Mapping out user journeys that make sense and drive results.

Wireframing & Prototyping

Test ideas fast and get clarity before writing a single line of code.

Interface Design (UI)

Clean, consistent, and brand-aligned visuals that elevate your digital presence.

Responsive & Adaptive Design

Seamless experiences across every device and screen size.

Accessibility-First Approach

Inclusive design that works for everyone.

Designed in Figma

Our tool of choice for your visual designs is Figma, this online tool allows us to create responsive designs for multiple devices and viewports. It also allows us to create realistic high-fidelity designs, including animations, to give you an extremely realistic impression of how your website is going to look when it’s live.

Designed for developers

Figma has in-built tools that developers love, so that they can interpret our designs and understand things like colours, spacing and typography, which makes their jobs significantly easier.

Recent work

Showby

Showby is a Data & Analytics Transformation Consultancy based in the South west of the UK. We first worked with Showby looking at their brand essence several years ago, and ended up exploring their brand essence through a full brand workshop.

Showby recently got back in touch, as they were looking to update the visual identity, giving it more of a contemporary, digital feel.

We retained the idea of change through the analogy of a butterfly and metamorphosis, but felt there was an opportunity to develop the visual aesthetics. By simplifying the shape of the logo, we fulfilled the client’s brief as well as making it more digital friendly and allowing it to be vectorised and animated in the future. We also introduced a strong colour gradient through the logo icon and website.

We created a suite of elegant custom iconography, all designed as vector svg files in Figma, allowing them to be visually appealing, yet lightweight on the website.

Bristol and Thames Lidos

Bristol and Thames Lidos are two unique and beautiful Victorian and Edwardian era outdoor swimming pools. Both have been restored immaculately and serve both members and the public all year round with restaurants bars, and treatment packages on offer.

With so much on offer at the Lidos, and with three separate external booking systems for customers to use, the websites had grown to difficult to use. User feedback suggested a great deal of confusion with the navigation and journey, and the result was a progressive reliance on picking up the phone.

Improvements were needed and the team hired us to help solve these user challenges.

Betterwill

Betterwill were looking to create an online application, designed to disrupt the market for creating your own wills. Traditionally the process of getting your will drawn up has been handled by high street solicitors, and is carried out in person which can be a daunting, formal process.

Betterwill wanted to offer users the ability to create wills online for users and their families in a matter of minutes. This would not only make the process quicker and easier, but would also be potentially saving them hundreds of pounds compared to the solicitor method.

The aim of the project was to take some of the fear and apprehension out of creating a will.

‘An easy, online, tool that allows users to create, manage, and download a professional will for an affordable price.’

We helped Betterwill through the entire process from user research, information architecture, UI design wire framing and finally branding and bespoke illustrations.

GetMyMortgage

32 Squared specialise in generating quality leads from creative campaigns at a large scale. In this project, they wanted to design and launch a whole of market comparison website which would capture details from customers looking to mortgage or re-mortgage their homes. These leads would then be passed to expert mortgage brokers who could talk customers through the best deals for them.

The task then was to create a simple user journey along with a clean design and modern branding to ensure that the user felt comfortable enough to use the whole of market comparison features.

Working with the client, we researched and created two personas to represent the key user groups. We then created a user journey to show the step by step process and then put together wireframes for the site pages including desktop and mobile versions. The final piece of the puzzle was to create a friendly, bright brand and add bespoke illustrations to give the website some extra ‘zing’.
