Overview
Shepton Mallet is an historic market town with an eye on the future. Their Town Council is on a mission to make Shepton a better place to live, work, play and visit.
Challenge
The town adopted its first town plan in 2020. This document created with input from hundreds of community members sets out a bold vision for the future of Shepton. Shepton council approached us to help them create a new place brand identity that would reflect their exciting plans.
Process
Through a series of workshops with key council members we established a brand essence for the town reflecting their new optimistic vision and unique character and setting the tone for their communications and visual assets.
Outcomes
We developed a new logo featuring unique Shepton landmarks, a vibrant colour palette, and a suite of graphic tiles to breathe new life into council documents and signage. Our accompanying brand guide helps the council to keep their message consistent across all various platforms. We loved working with the team at Shepton and hope in a small way their new brand will encourage a greater sense of pride in this hidden gem of a town.
